post graduate programes

There are in fact many benefits one can gain from having a post-grad degree. Regardless of the public misconceptions, these benefits are not mere myths.Having a post-grad degree would certainly increase your job prospects. Some would argue that having a post-grad degree would mean that a person is more specialized in a field of study, thus narrowing jobs to a specific field. The argument is not wrong, however.

You should look for a job suitable to your field of study, regardless of whether you have a post-grad degree or not. Unless you are looking for a job which is not related to your studies, you'll find that there are plenty of job opportunities to go around and about.
Compared to when you were in your undergrad studies, the knowledge and exposure you'll receive during your post-grad studies are somewhat significantly more. With the additional exposure, this would definitely give you an edge compared to what you have back then.

When a country shifts from being a manufacturing country to being a more technologically advanced country, more researches have to be conducted, and more post-grad holders would be required in this process. Having a post-grad degree would prepare you in the turns of event in the future.Regardless of whether you intend to further your studies in the future, know that having a post-grad degree brings many benefits

how to find a good colleges for school students

College is a good way to meet a slew of new and diverse people, get the degree that will further your career options and gain some independence from living on your own. College is also a great place to drain your life savings. Living at home is nice because it's all free, but when you head off to college, prepare your debit card for some friction because it's going to get used quite a bit. Everything costs money in college, from the dorms to the tuition and extra cheese on a pizza. Cutting back and learning to save can be dismal, but fortunately college is all about the experience. This is no time to start learning to save money, so use this as guide to understand the very best ways to lose money on the road to a college degree.

The easiest way to waste a few extra dollars is to avoid keeping track of the balance on your checking account and use your debit card often. Sure, overdraft fees will pile up and you will probably owe the bank a couple hundred dollars, but that's no problem! Luckily, your debit card will likely be accepted even if you don't have the actual funds in the bank. The bank is as helpful as anyone at helping you lose money, so just keep swiping and accumulating those fees. And for bonus points, simply toss out the bank statement you receive each month. Let your debit card be the only source of correspondence between you and your bank.

Another great way to slowly siphon money from your bank account is to drink it up. Everyone knows that college is the best place to pick up a drinking habit, so don't be left out of the fun. Hang out at bars and clubs where the alcohol is the most expensive and be sure to leave a decent tip for the bartender. If you have a taste for beer, become a connoisseur and get choosy. Pick the most pricey of the beer options and remember that expensive means quality. Even better if you prefer liquor, fancy cocktails cost quite a bit more. If you're cheap, you can get beer for a couple bucks, but it is near impossible to get a cosmopolitan for less than five dollars, so keep that in mind when ordering. If frat parties are more your cup of tea, or tequila, bring a twelve-pack of your own and offer to share for a couple of games of beer pong. Again remember, the more costly the beer, the better it will taste.

After you have successfully spent all your graduation money on booze, you will have to open your wallet for the academic costs of college. You will need to purchase the books necessary for each class you will be taking. At all costs, avoid the used books section. It is stocked with the lousy old left over books from last semester. They are probably written in, highlighted by previous students and at least $30 cheaper than the new books. If you are spending thousands of dollars to receive an elite education, you will need to spring for the newest books. You would not carry a ragged briefcase with a new suit or wear running shoes with a prom dress, so why study out of crummy old books when listening to your professor give a sparkling, and rather riveting lecture? At the end of the semester you will be pleased to have spent the extra money for such an extraordinary book that you will likely never crack open again. Finally, when the class ends, do not even think of selling your books back to the bookstore. Instead, put them on a bookcase in your room where they will look extremely prestigious next to your collection of magazines, bowls of half-eaten noodles and dirty socks.

It becomes even easier to lose money once you have begun your sophomore year in college. Most colleges only require freshmen to live on campus, after which point you are free to take up residence in any one of the many overpriced apartments and rental homes in the area. That being said, it is not enough just to rent out an apartment that costs more in a month than your parent's monthly mortgage payment, it is imperative that you live alone. If you choose not to live with any pesky roommates, you will be in charge of paying not only rent, but also electric, gas, water and anything else that isn't covered by the rent payment. Food is also your responsibility, which is great because there will not be anyone in the house to eat your leftover Chinese.

You will also be able to choose a decorating theme for the entire space without any argument from anyone but your landlord. When you receive those annoying bills in the mail, make sure you give them enough time sitting on your kitchen table to forget about them. Late fees will build up, but if you catch it before the power company turns of your electric everything will be okay. Finally, the key to losing excess amounts of money in an apartment is to waste as much energy as possible. Keep on the lights, take hour-long, extra hot showers and keep the thermostat at 80 degrees during the winter and you will be in debt in no time. Just imagine the smile you will have when you begin getting calls from a collection agency. Collection agencies are particularly friendly and their calls will make you feel like you are finally an adult.

When bills start piling up, the best thing you can do is get a credit card. Don't waste your time researching interest or annual rates. Go ahead and sign up for the credit card that shows up in your mailbox proclaiming that "You're Approved!" You can use that plastic godsend to pay off any outstanding debts and worry about paying the balance later. This is another time to casually forget about the bills that appear each month. If you're late you'll get to pay up to $50 extra in late fees which should go nicely with any other accumulating debts.

Another good way to rack up the traditional, American credit card debt is to go over your limit. Unfortunately, credit cards sometimes won't let you go over your limit as easily as debit cards. However, if you can trick your card into letting you spend an extra ten dollars, you'll also be lucky enough to spend at least an additional $25 in overage fees. Credit cards are important, so make sure you always carry it with you and use it as often as you can. Remember that credit cards give you credit that you can use when buying a car, a house or any other large investment. When you're looking for a loan, you want the bank to know that you know how to handle money.

Of course, the easiest way to lose money is to follow the above instructions, but also refrain from getting a job. College is about learning and you can't do that when you're spending all your extra time making money. It is easiest to rely on your relatives for the occasional check, money-stuffed birthday card or "tuition loan" to help you get by. Of course, as previously discussed, if there is something you need, simply use your credit or debit card and worry about the damage to your bank account later.

There are a million other ways to lose money when you are in college, so use your imagination and get creative. You will find easier and more exciting ways in a short time. After your four years are over, you could be having so much fun that you sign up for another two years of excessive spending. In any case, after strictly following this guide for a few months, you should have no problem making it your daily routine. Finally, if you should find yourself looking for a new way to lose money, try tossing $20 bills directly into the toilet and flushing them down.

Accredited Distance Education Universities

The need for you to attend any of the various accredited distance education universities out there cannot be overstressed. In other words, you must not only be pleased with just spotting and going to a university, you must make sure that it is totally accredited. It is not intelligent of you to just take the remark of the university for it. You should check their assertion from the right accrediting organization. Remember, they have spent large sums of cash to own that charming web pages you are viewing. And they are at liberty to put any record on their web page but it is required of you to make sure that you are registering with a properly accredited university.

Moreover, many human beings stop at only finding out that the university is accredited. They neglect to discover if the course they are interested in is also accredited. In other words, there are two types of accreditation. The school, as well as the course you want to put your name down for must be completely accredited before any employer out there can attach importance to you and your certificate.

Due thoroughness is considered necessary when you are looking for accredited distance education universities. This is because not all of them are genuine. There are so many deceptive universities presenting distance education out there and if you are not watchful enough, you will fall into their trap. Use the web to look for these universities. When you are supplied with lots of universities, you must not be in a hurry as many people often do. Remember, it is your career and promotion we are talking about here. Hence, you can't afford to joke with this. Patiently go through the list. Check first for accreditation of the university. The next thing you should search for is whether your course is accredited.

Employers are aware of the many diploma mills on the internet. They know them and can spot when you are presenting the certificates of one of them. Consequently, in your own interest, avoid them and look for accredited universities offering distance education. You can be positive that employers will treat you well. Besides, you won't be ignored when it is time for promotion in the organization. When attempting to improve your career through distance education, you need to be patient to do all that is asked of you to get a reputable certificate. Don't join the list of individuals looking for a short cut. Moreover, I beg you to ignore mails from universities that you did not request information from. This is an example of an unaccredited university. Distance yourself from them like plague for your own good.

database programing and software engineering programes

Computer software engineering has become a career of choice for many people considering its dynamic nature and exciting well-paying career opportunities. It is a branch of computer science that deals with design, documentation, development and management of software. Some of the subjects that will be offered by a programming school will include internet programming, application development, database development, custom business applications and web development.

A programming school will offer basic education on how to develop a computer program that is adaptable to the peculiar needs of each user as well as a chance to do research on relevant issues that are facing this field. A software engineering research includes analysis of software processes as well as measurement and modeling of computer usage behaviors.

The study modes offered at a software engineering school involve extensive and rigorous mixture of lectures, practical classes and tutorials. Extra remedial classes can be offered to poor students to enable them catch up with their colleagues. Before conferment of the degree, diploma or certificate to the student, they have to go through thorough assessments in form of course assignments and exams. A program especially the degree would not be complete without a project whether done in a group or individually.

Computer programming courses can be offered either as associate degrees, diplomas or certificates. The higher levels will go up to the masters and PhD ranks. There is a number of software engineering schools that offer online programs which enable their students to take the course regardless of where they are located. This distance learning facility also enables people who are working but may wish to further their education to do so without necessarily quitting their jobs.

A course in a software engineering school prepares the student for a whole range of exciting career opportunities. The information technology industry is very accommodating as the graduates can get a chance to work in whichever organization that makes use of computer services. Better still a course from a good and recognized programming school will enable the student to be absorbed in the job market even without the working experience.

language translatiing service

When you want to find translation services that will help your company cross linguistic barriers, there are many factors to consider.

1. How do I know if an agency is right for our company? Some translation agencies are specialized in certain fields and you should know what their niche may be. Others can offer you a better rate as long as you don't mind sacrificing quality assurance (some have no reviewing or proofreading department). Ask about their translation process, the qualifications of their team, if they are in house or freelance translators, how long have they been in business, etc.

2. Should you hire a freelance translator? Some freelance translators are very good however, there is no way to know if the one you have found possesses the qualities you want. A good agency will work with freelance translators that have a proven track record and a long list of satisfied clients.

3. What is your budget? Everyone will want the best results for the best price, but is it reasonable to expect the same quality for (let's say) half the price? As you are shopping around, try to find an agency that starts in the range of $0.20 per word for basic translations. Any less and you will be getting a discount agency with discount results. Quality translations take time and experienced translators deserve to be paid a fair wage. If you consider that a good translator can translate 1500-2000 words per day and earn a living by doing so, paying them any less and they would be better off pumping gas or serving drinks!

4. What is your timeline? Plan ahead and allow a sufficient amount of time for a good translation agency to complete your translation project. You should realize that the best translators, those who are in demand because they can produce the desired results, are already working right now. Many of those who can promise incredible turn around times at low rates are fly-by-night operations working with unqualified translators. Often, there are groups of translators working on a single project where everything is pasted together and sent to the customer as quickly as possible. In this case, volume is more important than quality.

how to learn german language

A proper approach using the right methods and tools will help to learn any foreign language sooner. The same works for German which seems to be quite methodical and orderly. However it can be quite mind-boggling too. Now just go trough to -learn how to speak German.

Do not be under the misconception that German grammar and sentence construction is similar to English, therefore learning the vocabulary is not the only task. In fact its word structure is entirely different. You can find that verbs are placed at the end of the sentences.

If you intend to make a core study of German i. E. Learn to read, write and speak it, find audio lessons to master the correct accent and collect written elements to get a gist of the prose. Learn the correct pronunciation technique. Substitute a V sound for W, F for V, and B has a double S sound.

Compile a list of all noun declensions and adjectives. Unlike English a change in the form of words leads to new meanings whereas with the latter you need only change the order. The best way to learn a foreign language is to speak it that too with a native of that particular country so find a native German and practice speaking with him. Perhaps you might help him with English side by side.

Listen to some German music and try to decipher the lyrics. Another interesting way is to watch German movies but be sure to disable the subtitles. Get some fun German videos which will keep you entertained while learning. Keep a wordlist with corresponding meanings in English with you at all times to help you make sense of difficult meanings and usages. Going over them every now and then will render them familiar.

how to teaching english for asian people

Are you qualified to teach English in Asia? If you are a native English speaker, or can speak English almost like a native speaker, then the answer is "Yes".Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, an Indonesia need English teachers and the TESOL or TEFL qualification needed to be able to teach it is easy to get, and need not be expensive.

Did you know that at any one time, there are approximately 14,000 vacant jobs for English teachers world wide?

The world has gone crazy over learning English, and if you are a native English speaker, you already have the major qualification needed.Of course if you have a University education too, then your chances of finding your dream job are made even better, BUT it is not necessary to have a University education to land a good job as an English teacher.People all over the world are using English for commerce, education and travel, and you are already in possession of the tools to enjoy an adventurous lifestyle travelling the world and teaching English, helping ordinary people achieve their goals in life. The ability to speak English, in many countries, means job security, better opportunities for employment, enhanced social status, and promotion prospects. And YOU can be the person who helps these people achieve those goals- Empowering feeling to be sure!
How are your current prospects at home? Rising unemployment, rising prices, higher taxes, falling job security, falling job satisfaction, little respect from employers, job with no prospect of making a difference to people lives- If any one of these describes your situation, maybe its time for a rethink- The non-English speaking world needs you.

How about a job where you earn more than enough for a comfortable lifestyle, and the boss is grateful that you choose to work there and says so, the challenge of new cultures, hours to suit you (most are UNDER 20 hours a week), the thrill of knowing you are making a difference to the lives of ordinary people, and the respect of the local community in which you work? Some places will even provide you with a furnished apartment at no cost, complete with Internet, cable TV and all the comforts of home. Some even re-imburse your air fares after you have been working with them for a while, AND provide funds for your return home at the end of the contract.

Too good to be true?

Certainly not - If you know anyone who has taught English abroad, ask them about their experiences - you will be mostly pleasantly surprised. The salaries are of course probably lower than at home, but then the cost of living is very much lower too - The English teacher in Asia usually has an income and respect similar to that of a local doctor or a lawyer. And the students are often a pleasure to teach - courteous, willing to learn, and attentive. Not all benefits can be measured by money alone. How do you put a value on adventure for which you are paid? New friendships that may last a life-time? And cross-cultural exchange? They are priceless. Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT have to be able to speak the local language to teach English - in fact, it is often forbidden in the English classroom, and there are inexpensive courses that will equip you with the right way to go about your new job.Asia and other regions await you-adventure-respect and the knowledge that you can make a difference.

how to speak spanish

There are loads of Spanish Courses and Schools I have covered yet a lot do not have the budget for it. Today I will cover how to learn to speak Spanish for free. I have added 5 top sites that have a focus on learning Spanish language for free.

Learning world languages

The main advantage of the natural method is its easiness. Babies are doing nothing but sitting among their toys; nonetheless they learn.

Why does it work so well?

A child is ready to learn any language. We say "learn" because we are used to calling it so, but a child does much more: he analyzes the language he is learning.

How do we know, since no one can remember how he did it himself?
Thanks to the mistakes!

Without an analyze, no kid would ever say: "Yesterday, Mum gived me a cookie." But because he knows the pairs walk-walked, work-worked, and so on, he is able to deduce the existence of the pair give-gived. The fact that the analysis is wrong does not change the fact that there is one.

Analyzing their own language, children establish its laws. The "page" they write on is blank. Children who are lucky enough to learn two (or more) languages at once divide the blank page in as many parts as needed and write down the laws of each language separately.

Why does it work only once?

Be the linguistic laws written for one language or several, once they are written, they become the references. We have no longer a white page ready to accept any linguistic law. Once we know that the warm and hairy thing we play with is called "a dog," it will never be that "warm and hairy thing" again. The word "dog" will always come first.

We are an intellectual species: the words overcome what they indicate. And when we learn a new language (after the engraving of our mother tongue(s) has been made), we have to translate "dog" and not to label "warm and hairy thing."

Any new language rule we learn will have to fight against those we have previously internalized.

The easiness of the natural method is its main and obvious advantage.

Its drawback is that it is a full time job for three years, only to be able to say elementary sentences about elementary things. Most people who learn a foreign language not only do not have so much time, but also want more than merely speak. They want -and need- to read and write as well.

Nevertheless, the natural method for learning languages remains the easiest one. So, if you have time, you can sit among your technological toys and watch -and listen to- movies by the dozen. Or you can settle in the country whose language is the one you want to learn... and go to the movies.

At some point, you will figure out what is going on, be it on the screen or the street. At some other point, you will be able to repeat, then to ask and answer. Of course, you will learn quicker if someone plays Mummy's role and makes you repeat.

The "page" you will get will not be as right and precise as the one you got when learning your mother tongue, but you will be able to internalize many rules; that is to say: you will be able to use them without having to think about. You will use them NATURALLY.

But again: it will take three years, full time, and you will not master everything.

People who tell you that their language method is a natural one, either do not know how we acquire our mother tongue, or are plainly lying.

Language learning methods meant for grown-ups cannot achieve more than a few per cent of the results the natural method gets. Nevertheless, if easiness does not bother you, put at work what can still work, even if you are no longer a child.

Computer Engineering College Programs - Software and Hardware

College computer engineering programs exposes the students to a variety of computer related issues covering both the hardware and software. Computer engineering college students can either specialize in software engineering or hardware engineering. Software engineering will mainly focus on the development, design, analysis, implementation and maintenance of the computer software. Any computer engineering college dealing with software engineering will teach students how to program in various computer languages such as Java, C++ and Visual Basics.

A computer engineering college offering hardware engineering will mostly be dealing with the physical parts of the computer and how they work. The hardware includes the monitor, CPU, keyboard, mouse and other accessories such as scanners, printers and modems. A good engineering school will normally offer both hardware and software engineering options for the learners to choose but those that are specific to either one of the two are good too because they tend to have adequate specific teaching materials ad equipment.

Most specific engineering programs will tend to incorporate the other because they are integrated in way. It is very hard to isolate the software from the hardware and vice versa hence programs usually have both only that focus is given to one area. An engineering school will normally engage its students in research and projects that are aimed at helping them understand the basics of computer engineering through practical work.

Computer engineering college programs are closely related to mathematics and electrical engineering programs as well as other related sciences. An engineering school that wants to be up to date in the skills it imparts in its students will normally improve and up date the programs from time to time to reflect changing technological needs of the IT markets. An engineering program that seeks to balance all computer related issues will normally equip students with computer networking skills, communication systems skills, electronics skills and programming. With these skills, it becomes easier to find jobs as a software programmer, analyst or network developer. As companies adapt to new technologies, these kinds of professionals are highly sought-after in whatever specialization.

I am but a person with an intense desire for self-expression that is a true devotee of pure intellect; the dream should at least ensure that place in the intellectual community in which my voice is an influential individual. The passion for the expression of thoughts and thirst for knowledge are the driving forces behind my motivation. The ruling is an inspiration of Julius Caesar, I am proud to own! I came, I saw, I conquered! Presently I'm writing about Maya Classes and online education.

Cambridge Colleges All Over the Place

When you visit Cambridge to find the University, you may be surprised, to say the least to find that it is located in many areas of Cambridge. Whilst travelling to the many locations, you will be taken through courtyards, ancient lanes and gardens. The majority of the colleges are open to the public. There are a grand total of 31 colleges.

Peterhouse is the oldest college in Cambridge founded in 1284. Situated south of the city centre it has been rebuilt and added to many times over the years. Lord Kelvin, creator of the Kelvin temperature scale, was one of the notable Petreans who attended the college in the 19th century. Lord Kelvin provided the first electric lighting for Peterhouse's 600th anniversary, the first such for any Cambridge college.

Crossing over Trumpington Street to the east will take you to Pembroke College. It is one of the bigger colleges with a mix of buildings from a majority of the centuries since foundation in 1347. The Baroque chapel was the first building by Sir Christopher Wren and was consecrated in 1665.

Trinity College has perhaps the grandest scholarly record of all the colleges and boasts 32 Nobel prizes amongst members. Founded in 1546 by Henry VIII it has been preferred by royalty down the ages and has educated 6 Prime ministers. Isaac Newton studied here in the 17th century. The first formal rules of football were drawn up here in 1848. As you enter the great gate at Trinity be sure to check to see what the statue of Henry VIII holds in his hand.

Kings College is home to the iconic Kings College Chapel. A punt along the river Cam will take you past the magnificent Gothic facade which overlooks a beautiful green to make it one of the defining views of the city. The chapel is home to the famous Nine Lessons and Carols broadcast every year on the BBC on Christmas Eve. It also displays the painting "The Adoration of the Magi" by Rubens and the world's biggest fan vault ceiling.

Travelling south will take you to Queens College, founded in 1448. It is one of two colleges that have buildings either side of the Cam. The Mathematical Bridge joins the two sides using tangential timbers and makes a great photo.

That's just a brisk tour of the multitude of colleges that make up Cambridge University. Bed and Breakfast or one of the many Hotels in the area will give you a warm welcome and a base from which to explore the varied history of a great city.

Top MBA colleges in INDIA

An Executive MBA (EMBA) program is a management program that is specially designed for the working professionals and executives. This executive MBA program provides an opportunity for the executives, industry professionals and managers of various organizations to improve their skills. In most of the cases Executive MBA programs and MBA programs have similar curriculum. People who want to pursue an EMBA program should have an experience about three years, in few cases it may go up to five years. The reason for this is the level of teaching in this type of course is very high; a team approach is often used to discuss case studies and this helps them to learn from another.

There are various modes of executive MBA programs available depending on the convenience of the working professionals. For example there are one year, two year, and three year executive MBA programs available. Some of the courses are full time; some of them are part time. Few universities offer online and distance learning programs as well.

The one year EMBA programs are designed for high-end managers with the enormous latent to presume positions of greater accountability in their organizations. These types of programs are mainly full- time, because these programs are structured with exhaustive curricula and executives who are pursuing this are expected to spend maximum time in order to take advantage of these programs.

One can pursue these EMBA programs through either full-time or part-time depending on their convenience.

Correspondence Executive MBA is best suitable and designed for those professionals who need a postgraduate degree to enhance their career growth. These courses have relatively low fee structure compared to one-year, two-year full time EMBA programs. In general most executives won't prefer to leave their current job in order to pursue MBA due to many factors. These programs are tailor-made for them; it is advisable to select a renowned university which offers correspondence EMBA programs.

Online Executive MBA's are popular around the world, where, you can earn your executive MBA degree by sitting at your home. Futurism and Fascism

Those individuals which do a lot of thinking about the future, often associate themselves with the title of futurist. What many people do not understand is that futurism, socialism, and fascism are actually tied together with many historical examples. Still, one has to ask can you be a futurist without being a socialist? This is a very interesting point, and there is a group called the Futurists in the United States and most of the people in the group do hold socialist views.

Many of them classify themselves as Democrats or liberals, but they really are not liberals by strict definition, as most truly are socialist leaning and they wish to put controls on to the society and get everyone thinking a certain way to live together in harmony, yet at the same time they often negate all the human characteristics of mankind.

The group itself uses many socialist type controls and promises people who join the group that they will teach them how to think correctly to solve problems for the future and predict it. Interestingly enough, this is quite problematic because if someone is predicting the future, and telling everyone how to think, they are actually creating a self-fulfilling prophecy and if that prophecy is tied to socialist tendencies and leads to Fascist dictation of how the civilization and society will run, then you can see the problem.

Folks should not be so awestruck by futurist or by their purported wisdom. If we are to follow many of these futurists and their ideas for the future we will find that they will micromanage our lives and end up taking away all of our freedoms for the benefit of their created utopias in the process. Indeed they will claim they are creating the greatest of utopias that can last for 1000 years, but in reality no one in their right mind who understands what freedom truly as would ever want to live there.Sure we can create a wonderful beehive of humanity; but quite frankly that doesn't interest me, and aren't the bees dying off anyway. Please consider all this.

Big Future Prospects For Health and Medicine

In the past few decades the advancement in technology have been vast, this has allowed for numerous discoveries and improvements in healthcare. Some of the prospects for the future of health and medicine are truly astounding and if they come about they will revolutionise the area of medicine and health. So what are these future prospects.

1) Treating infertility

I decided to start with this because it has been shown all over the news in the recent week. The university of Newcastle in England have created sperm artificially using male cells. This means that we could in the future treat infertility in men and help thousands if not millions of couple's to conceive.

2) Cloning

Cloning has always got a bad rap from the press and yes there are numerous ethical issues surrounding it, but let's have a look at the advantages of therapeutic cloning. This form of cloning can be used to help create cells that can be used in medicine for example in tissue engineering or for use in transplantation.

3) Stem cells research

Another one to hit the papers frequently. This links in with therapeutic cloning in terms of uses. However the distinction here is that you use stem cell lines. Stem cells have the capability to transform into any cell type and this is advantageous because it can be used for many purposes such as creating bone marrow or blood cells. This will eliminate the laborious task of finding a donor for chronically ill individuals.

4) Genetic engineering

We are who we are because of our genes, so being able to modify your genes would have profound effects on who you are. This can become beneficial especially for individuals who suffer from conditions which are the result of defective genes. These conditions include muscular dystrophies, haemophilia, cystic fibrosis, list goes on. With the human genome now fully sequenced it is only a matter of time before we can effectively modify our genes to treat illnesses in the future.

Now don't get too optimistic these are all definite possibilities for the future but we are not sure if they will become reality however we can assume that with the continual improvements in technology and medical research it is possible that these future prospects will become a reality.

School Blogs can Revolutionize Schools

School blogs can transform virtually every aspect of school life. I appreciate that's a bold claim but I'm going to back it up with some illustrations. I am also going to show you how easy it is to set up a complete school blogging platform with no technical knowledge whatsoever.

Before I go any further though, let me define what I mean by school blogs. Although blogs may have started out rather like online diaries, software such as WordPress (yes, it's a version of WordPress that I am going to recommend) is quite capable of creating complex websites incorporating multimedia elements. The WordPress platform makes the production of engaging content as simple as using a word processor, allowing users to focus on content. It also allows readers to interact through comments and this is one of the main reasons why school blogs can be so powerful.

So think of a blog as an interactive personal website.
What I am suggesting is not that the school has a blog but rather that everyone IN the school has a blog - teachers, students, administrators - even parents. Here are some examples:

# Lessons - let's imagine a teacher, Mr Geography. His next few lessons will cover the Amazon jungle. So he transfers an outline of his lesson plan to a blog post and adds in some images, a couple of videos from YouTube showing some Amazonian wildlife and links to the National Geographic website. For homework, the students will visit his post, possibly leave some comments, and then create their own posts answering the questions he set. (Don't worry, there are many ways to stop plagiarism.)

The students have thus had a much richer and creative experience than simply reading a text book. Their work will remain online for future revision. It can even be made public and form part of a showcase of what students are achieving. Not only can this inspire children, it is a wonderful way for parents and grandparents to share in a student's progress. This increased involvement can have many dividends in fundraising.

# Sports - the latest results and performances of the school teams can be shared online through reports, photographs and videos. Again, a much broader community can share in the school's activities.

# Special Interests - this is a broad catch-all category for all the other activities that students may engage in, from dance, drama and music (reviews of theater visits, progress on their own productions etc.) through to IT, photography and debating clubs, The blogs of participant students help their development and publicize what they are doing to a wider audience. The school becomes a much more vibrant place.

# Field Trips and Holidays - parents can be kept informed of what is happening and the whole experience enriched and captured for posterity through blog entries.
I have only hinted at some of the incredible possibilities for using school blogs. I would like to emphasise a few points. Firstly, most of what is produced is almost a by-product of current activities - this is a different way of working rather than extra work. Secondly, much of it is created by the students themselves. Finally, despite the stunning results that can be achieved, this is actually very easy to implement.

I mentioned the WordPress platform earlier. There is a mutli-user version of WordPress, WPMU, that provides the basis for my recommended approach to school blogging. If you are considering how to set up school blogs with maximum effectiveness and ease-of-use, I would suggest an out-of-the box solution incorporating a number of plugins. This will allow you to focus on the benefits the system can bring rather than spending days tweaking settings to achieve an inferior solution.

Treasury Enforcement Agent Exam - The Know-How For Your Success

Have you recently been required to sit for the Treasury Enforcement Agent Exam? If so, you ought to get yourself geared up physically and mentally, for this examination does come with some challenges! Just as the famous Chinese military genius Sun Tzu advises that one must understand one's enemy in the battlefield, candidates need to understand the format of this test in order to heighten the chance of "conquering" it. This test consists of four main sections, namely Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, Investigative Problems and a self evaluation or experience section.

In regard to the Mathematics section, it is basically presented in the form of word problems. In other words, a passage will be given and upon which candidates need to read it and answer the questions that follow. The questions are in the form of multiple-choice questions, whereby a total of five choices will be given for each question. It is important to know that the questions presented are anything but basic. This implies that questions will be complex and thus necessitates a thorough understanding of the passage.

is that one can familiarize oneself with the questions tested by purchasing a study guide. While a myriad of topics will be tested in the examination, it pays to know some of the more commonly tested topics. These topics include time, rate, distance, interest earned (both compound and simple), rate earned (rate of return), miles per gallon (usage problems), tax rates, tax return on investment, converting various metrics and efficiency.

The second section of the TEA test is Verbal Reasoning, otherwise known as Reading Comprehension. The section bears some similarities to the Mathematical section. A passage will be given; thereafter, candidates have to answer the questions by selecting a correct answer from the five choices given. The section is complex as well, due in part to the fact that it uses various complicated phrases and word traps. Consequently, one needs to read thoroughly and should not skim as doing so may cause one to easily fall into the traps.

In the Investigative section, a passage that describes a crime scene or an investigative sequence of steps will be given. This is followed by a number of statements, usually ranging from eight to ten. Basically, these statements are accounts from those who have knowledge or familiarity with the crime scene described. Candidates are required to answer the questions based on the passage and the statements. A good analytical skill will certainly be a bonus as one is then able to justify one's answer with logic, much like the vigilant fictional character - Sherlock Holmes. While this section is not as hard as the prior two sections, it nevertheless brings with it a reasonable amount of complexity because of the depth that the case is presented.

The last section of the TEA examination is self evaluation or experience. In this section, candidates will be asked questions that seek to obtain input about their personal thoughts. The questions may ask about which schools you attended, your attitude in a particular situation or how others would describe you. It is noted that this section may not be included on some examinations as it is dependent on which agency provides the test.

In a nutshell, this examination is indeed challenging as evidenced by many people who claim that this is probably the toughest examination they have ever taken. In view of this, it is advisable that candidates practise doing the questions that will be tested. With profuse practice comes greater confidence!
Generally, engineering is a form of discipline and a profession that applies science and math into the actual world. An engineering degree online is already offered in many online colleges and universities today. Similar to the traditional school, it also makes use of technical and scientific knowledge of both resources and natural laws together with the objective of designing machines, materials, processes and systems and meeting at definite goal and criteria. The engineering authorities usually deal with everything or anything from:

• Construction

• Manufacturing

• Chemical, and; civil.

Innovations and inventions being proven through advancement in modern life carry the indication of the importance of engineering. Professional engineers commonly
• Repair

• Develop

• Test

• Create, and;

• Maintain the structures which are important in the safety and convenience of a community.

Engineering has two basic branches and these are:

• Mechanical engineering

• Civil engineering

Among the other sub-disciplines of engineering are the following:

• Computer engineering - combining electrical engineering and computer science

• Aerospace engineering - deals with the design of spacecraft and aircraft

• Electrical engineering - deals with the design of the electrical systems

• Biomedical engineering - it combines biological and medical sciences in order to enhance health care

All of the above need extensive education and training. Thorough education and training only make up the least requirements towards becoming a licensed engineer. Several specializations should also acquire certification and licensing prior to becoming an engineer because they have to be trained comprehensively to avoid errors in judgment. Say for instance, take a look at poorly built edifices, weak bridges and defective wirings. They are absolutely harmful to people and the society.

As expected, opting to venture on engineering involves a great deal of time management, discipline and training. Today, the science of engineering is not just a mere college course, it also opens doors to achieving an engineering degree that offers you great chances of employability in the future. There are a lot of engineers now who are starting to benefit from the convenience and flexibility of learning even in the comfort of your own home. You will only need a computer, a reliable internet connection and of course, a certified online college or university which will help you learn and master the fundamentals and prerequisites of the engineering course and profession.

The same as other disciplines, engineering offer a lot of benefits for students or aspirants of an engineering degree online. A few of them consist of the flexibility with considerations to managing costs and time management. Obtaining an online degree reduces expenses since it saves students from compensating for the pricey tuition fee and miscellaneous fees of traditional universities and colleges. In addition to that, distance learning or online learning likewise means the least costs when it comes to transportation. In spite the convenience or different advantages, engineering students should take time to look for companies which can offer them with hands-on training and internship. Wide-ranging practical applied experience guarantees better job opportunities in the near future.

Engineers can typically expect to land on high paying jobs if:

• They received proper training from reputable schools, whether online or not

• They are certified, which means they had completed the study or had graduated

• They are licensed engineers, which means passing the board and getting a license to practice.

This is because of the high demands in engineering specialists within different fields. The whole engineering industry has become a growing site for specialists. As given the competition in every engineering discipline, engineers must provide themselves with the suitable knowledge and apt training for them to prosper and stand out. Definitely, education and specialty can offer alternatives to the conventional manner of learning. When it is explored appropriately and comprehensively, an engineering degree online may become a trend which can provide its students with an edge above others who have chosen to learn the discipline in the traditional way.

Reading Textbooks Online

The price to pay for procrastination is indeed heavy. Consider the case where a student puts off buying his economics textbook for several weeks. He reasons that his has a kind of feeling that his professor will not be using the textbook that often. Alas, his professor announces one day that all students will have to sit for a quiz next week and they ought to read the textbook. This prompts him to rush to the bookstore only to find out that the book is currently running out of stock.

If you have been in this predicament like most college students, what would you do? One obvious alternative is to turn to Amazon - the largest virtual bookstore in the World Wide Web. Most college textbooks listed on Amazon allow one to buy access to the online version of the textbook. While this may seem like a quick choice, it nevertheless requires students to fork out some cash to buy it.

Another alternative to reading textbooks online is to turn to Google. The name of the program is called Google Scholar, which stores a wide array of scholarly materials ranging from books, journals to articles. This useful program may be located at scholar.google.com. While this may be a good place to read textbooks online, it should be noted that the entire textbook content is usually not available. Albeit available in a pinch, this program does offer some useful resources for students to prepare for their quizzes or even complete their assignments.

Online Continuing Education For Insurance Providers - Economical, Efficient, Effective

Like many other service professionals, registered Insurance agents and adjusters are required to stay up to date with the latest rules, regulations, and best practices of their industry through regular Insurance Continuing Education (CE) training. While each state has its own unique licensing requirements, all states require some level of periodic Insurance CE to maintain a license in that state.

Typically, a minimum number of insurance CE credits must be earned every two years. The providers of continuing education training must themselves be certified to train in the state in which the insurance professionals are licensed.

Insurance CE training has historically been offered in a traditional classroom setting or in hotel conference rooms. The licensee attends lectures which are followed by an exam. Once an exam is passed the results are submitted to the state's licensing board where the credits are recorded. A minimum number of credits must be passed within a two year period in order to renew their license.

There are certain advantages gained by learning in a classroom environment. Most everyone went through school in a similar learning environment and so it is a familiar venue. Insurance agents and adjusters can meet each other, network, compare notes and discuss the lecture. There are some disadvantages to this learning model however, which include:

• The costs associated with this kind of training are high due to the need to rent classroom space and hire a professional trainer, as well as the associated travel and lodging costs.

• Most classes are offered during the week during business hours, causing lost productivity.

• Completed course credits usually need to be reported by the trainee to the licensing board.

Insurance is a very competitive business. Time away from the office may result in lost opportunities or a backlog of work which needs to be attended to. To address these deficiencies, online insurance continuing education courses provide a number of advantages not found in the classroom, including:

• The training cost is much lower - often a mere fraction of the classroom version.

• Online insurance CE training is available at any time (including nights or
weekends). It's accessible whenever the professional has some spare time in his or her schedule.

• Students can move through course material at their own pace.

• Insurance professionals who are licensed to work in several states can fulfill their CE requirements at one time and place.

• Some online insurance CE providers allow unlimited test re-takes, until the candidate passes.

• Reminders of individual Insurance Continuing Education deadlines are sent via email to ensure timely completion of course requirements.

• Reporting of training credits to the licensing board is done automatically by some online insurance CE course providers upon exam completion (where this is allowed by the individual state).

• Companies that sign up for online CE training in bulk can monitor the training requirements and status of every licensed employee via the Internet.

Online training courses are typically delivered via slide presentation using a computers web browser. Most people know how to use a web browser and therefore require no additional training.

Some online Insurance CE courses now provide multimedia support that augments the presentation slides. Insurance professionals should choose an online Insurance CE provider that includes audio training as a complement to on-screen slides. For example, the audio can be downloaded as a "podcast" and the insurance professional can listen and learn while driving to an appointment.

If you are an insurance professional and are considering using an online provider to complete your insurance CE, you may be able to find special deals that offer unlimited courses for a fixed price. This can save you a lot of time and money, not to mention the convenience of being able to study at the location and time of your choosing.

Online degree free information

Earning an online degree is very convenient, flexible and less expensive than the arm and leg earning of degrees cost in traditional universities. This program is popular for busy executives, house wives and many other people with busy lives as a result of its desirable qualities. Pursuing an online university degree enables individuals to pursue further education without commuting, at a suitable pace.

According to a report, about two-thirds of the biggest institutions in US now run fully online degree programs. Therefore, many people now can earn degree online which could be an online master's degree or online doctorate degree in their respective field without conforming to the traditional, time consuming schedule.

Online accredited degrees are degrees which derive their credibility especially from the ranking of the offering institution which means the university or the college offering this long distance learning complies with the statutory laws that guide the management of these programs. Therefore, you have to protect yourself against being scammed by also some fraudulent universities that offer bogus or illegally accredited degrees or diplomas.

Studies have shown that this non-traditional form of teaching has no ill effects on the learning curve of the students so major benefit of it is that accredited online bachelor degree is equivalent to a bachelor degree awarded by traditional universities. The overall perception has also improved over the years so employers from good companies are increasingly hiring people who have secured degrees through online education. In fact, they find attributes like motivation, independence and other good qualities in them which are necessary for a good worker.

If you want to select an online degree program based on cost, you should be able to perform a comparative analysis on the cost per credit on the program. Therefore through this way, you can get a degree according to the size of your purse.Fleming passionately writes to enlighten people about Online Degrees and has made tremendous success as an online tutor with several years of experience.

Computer Based Training

Computer-based training (CBT) services are where a student learns by executing special training programs on a computer relating to their occupation. CBT is especially effective for training people to use computer applications because the CBT program can be integrated with the applications so that students can practice using the application as they learn. Historically, CBTs growth has been hampered by the enormous resources required: human resources to create a CBT program, and hardware resources needed to run it. However, the increase in PC computing power, and especially the growing prevalence of computers equipped with CD-ROMs, is making CBT a more viable option for corporations and individuals alike. Many PC applications now come with some modest form of CBT, often called a tutorial. Web-based training (WBT) is a type of training that is similar to CBT; however, it is delivered over the Internet using a web browser. Web-based training frequently includes interactive methods, such as bulletin boards, chat rooms, instant messaging, videoconferencing, and discussion threads. Web based training is usually a self-paced learning medium though some systems allow for online testing and evaluation at specific times. Recent years have seen an explosion in online training for educators by content providers such as Knowledge Delivery Systems , Atomic Learning, PBS Teacherline, and more.

Computer based learning

Computer Based Learning, sometimes abbreviated to CBL, refers to the use of computers as a key component of the educational environment. While this can refer to the use of computers in a classroom, the term more broadly refers to a structured environment in which computers are used for teaching purposes. The concept is generally seen as being distinct from the use of computers in ways where learning is at least a peripheral element of the experience (e.g. computer games and web browsing).

Goals of E-learning

E-Learning lessons are generally designed to guide students through information or to help students perform in specific tasks. Information based e-Learning content communicates information to the student. Examples include content that distributes the history or facts related to a service, company, or product. In information-based content, there is no specific skill to be learned. In performance-based content, the lessons build off of a procedural skill in which the student is expected to increase proficiency.

E-learning Technology and Educational Technology

As early as 1993, Graziadei, W. D. described an online computer-delivered lecture, tutorial and assessment project using electronic Mail, two VAX Notes conferences and Gopher/Lynx together with several software programs that allowed students and instructor to create a Virtual Instructional Classroom Environment in Science (VICES) in Research, Education, Service & Teaching (REST).In 1997 Graziadei, W.D., et al., published an article entitled "Building Asynchronous and Synchronous Teaching-Learning Environments: Exploring a Course/Classroom Management System Solution".They described a process at the State University of New York (SUNY) of evaluating products and developing an overall strategy for technology-based course development and management in teaching-learning.

The product(s) had to be easy to use and maintain, portable, replicable, scalable, and immediately affordable, and they had to have a high probability of success with long-term cost-effectiveness. Today many technologies can be, and are, used in e-Learning, from blogs to collaborative software, ePortfolios, and virtual classrooms. Most eLearning situations use combinations of these techniques.

Along with the terms learning technology, instructional technology, and Educational Technology, the term is generally used to refer to the use of technology in learning in a much broader sense than the computer-based training or Computer Aided Instruction of the 1980s. It is also broader than the terms Online Learning or Online Education which generally refer to purely web-based learning. In cases where mobile technologies are used, the term M-learning has become more common. E-learning, however, also has implications beyond just the technology and refers to the actual learning that takes place using these systems.

E-learning is naturally suited to distance learning and flexible learning, but can also be used in conjunction with face-to-face teaching, in which case the term Blended learning is commonly used. E-Learning pioneer Bernard Luskin argues that the "E" must be understood to have broad meaning if e-Learning is to be effective. Luskin says that the "e" should be interpreted to mean exciting, energetic, enthusiastic, emotional, extended, excellent, and educational in addition to "electronic" that is a traditional national interpretation. This broader interpretation allows for 21st century applications and brings learning and media psychology into the equation.

In higher education especially, the increasing tendency is to create a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) (which is sometimes combined with a Management Information System (MIS) to create a Managed Learning Environment) in which all aspects of a course are handled through a consistent user interface standard throughout the institution. A growing number of physical universities, as well as newer online-only colleges, have begun to offer a select set of academic degree and certificate programs via the Internet at a wide range of levels and in a wide range of disciplines. While some programs require students to attend some campus classes or orientations, many are delivered completely online. In addition, several universities offer online student support services, such as online advising and registration, e-counseling, online textbook purchase, student governments and student newspapers.

e-Learning can also refer to educational web sites such as those offering learning scenarios, worksheets and interactive exercises for children. The term is also used extensively in the business sector where it generally refers to cost-effective online training.

E-Learning

Electronic learning (or e-Learning or eLearning) is a type of Technology supported education/learning (TSL) where the medium of instruction is through computer technology, particularly involving digital technologies. E-learning has been defined as "pedagogy empowered by digital technology"In some instances, no face- to- face interaction takes place. E-learning is used interchangeably in a wide variety of contexts. In companies, it refers to the strategies that use the company network to deliver training courses to employees. In the United States, it is defined as a planned teaching/learning experience that uses a wide spectrum of technologies, mainly Internet or computer-based, to reach learners. Lately in most Universities, e-learning is used to define a specific mode to attend a course or programmes of study where the students rarely, if ever, attend face-to-face for on-campus access to educational facilities, because they study online.

Marketing news

The worldwide e-learning industry is estimated to be worth over thirty-eight (38) billion euros according to conservative estimates, although in the European Union only about 20% of e-learning products are produced within the common market .Developments in internet and multimedia technologies are the basic enabler of e-learning, with content, technologies and services being identified as the three key sectors of the e-learning industry. eLearning is a catch-all term that covers a wide range of instructional material that can be delivered on a CD-ROM or DVD, over a local area network (LAN), or on the Internet.

Growth of educational learning

By 2006, nearly 3.5 million students were participating in on-line learning at institutions of higher education in the United States. Many higher education, for-profit institutions, now offer on-line classes. By contrast, only about half of private, non-profit schools offer them. The Sloan report, based on a poll of academic leaders, says that students generally appear to be at least as satisfied with their on-line classes as they are with traditional ones. Private institutions may become more involved with on-line presentations as the cost of instituting such a system decreases. Properly trained staff must also be hired to work with students on-line. These staff members need to understand the content area, and also be highly trained in the use of the computer and Internet. Online education is rapidly increasing, and online doctoral programs have even developed at leading research universities

Online degree education

Online degree education has transformed distance learning, offering more expediency and new opportunity for a lot of people who want to increase their occupational potential. However, there is no genuine free online degree program contrary to the claims of some websites. A good and quality free online degree program is yet unfounded.

Researches have shown that more than half of the largest institution offers complete programs and none of them offers free degree program. So you need to spend money to earn a degree online in your desired field of study.

The important thing is you have to ensure that the program is right for you. This is because the enrollment into the program is ideal for working people or stay-at-home parents. Going for an online degree makes it possible for you to earn further education without commuting as compare with that obtainable in the on campus universities.

Accredited degree online is one which is recognized and endorsed by a body responsible for ensuring that schools running these programs fully complies with set out legal laws. So, before enrolling in any program, make sure that it is recognized and accredited officially and not necessarily a free degree program.

Through researches, it has been proved that studying online has no bad consequence on the capability of the students to learn.
